PACKHAM & KEALY

We're Clare Packham and Fintan Kealy, and we've been writing musicals together since 2017. We aim to create genre-bending work that expands the perceived boundaries of musical theatre.

In 2025, we were the recipients of the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Writing Team Placement, which we undertook at the British Youth Music Theatre. During our residency, we developed a new show entitled 'The Cottingley Fairies', which will premiere at Birmingham Hippodrome in 2026.

Our work includes 'FLITCH', a musical about the Great Dunmow Flitch Trials, 'It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad Madge', a solo show about Margaret Cavendish, where performance art meets experimental musical theatre and 'Killing Time in Darkminster', an irreverent dark comedy where Hot Fuzz meets Adrian Mole.
